• Silver / Curated Layer cleans, validates, deduplicates, conforms, and enriches data for broader reuse.
• Gold / Trusted Layer publishes business-ready aggregates, dimensional models, and governed data products.

The names raw, curated, and trusted describe intent; bronze, silver, and gold are common aliases. Teams should define entry criteria, ownership, quality checks, retention, and replay behavior for every layer.
