Waterfall treats delivery as a mostly one-way progression from requirements to design, implementation, testing, and release.
Where it helps
It can fit stable requirements, regulated approvals, contractual milestones, or expensive physical dependencies.
Limitation
Late feedback makes incorrect assumptions costly to reverse.
