Effective requirements

Good requirements describe outcomes, constraints, acceptance conditions, and important quality attributes without prescribing unnecessary implementation detail. They expose ambiguity early and connect business goals to engineering decisions and tests.

Continuous activity

Requirements are not a one-time handoff. Teams refine them as evidence changes, risks emerge, and users provide feedback. Traceability is most useful when it supports decisions rather than creating paperwork for its own sake.
